Vibration isolation is the process of isolating an object, such as a piece of equipment, from the source of vibrations. Vibration is undesirable in many domains, primarily engineered systems and habitable spaces, and methods have been developed to prevent the transfer of vibration to such systems.
Vibration isolation solutions work to isolate sensitive equipment from a severe vibration environment, like a factory floor running several large heavy machines. Solutions can also be used to isolate an environment, such as the interior of a car, from vibration forces being generated from something like the engine.

Due to their large contact area, leveling wedges offer optimum support and stiffening of the machine bed for vibration and structure-borne noise isolation.

The design principles enable machines to be quickly leveled to a degree of leveling in the 1/100 mm range even at loads of 100 tons per wedge. The powerful self-locking effect of the leveling bolt prevents self-adjustment under the effects of vibration. Depending on the application, their use in conjunction with Bilz insulation pads creates the perfect strength coherence providing very effective vibration insulation.
