Our recent technical training journey in Germany, hosted by our parent company, was packed with insights, valuable experiences, and the latest developments in electronic systems. As the distributor overseeing the U.S. territory, this trip was an invaluable opportunity to deepen our understanding of the products, strategies, and technological advancements essential for our market.
Insights from Stuttgart and Beyond
Our journey began amidst the major construction project at the Stuttgart train station. The project aims to modernize the historical station by integrating tunnels for the rails while preserving its classic façade—a significant and fascinating undertaking.
In-Depth Technical Training and Innovations
The training sessions were comprehensive and highly technical, covering everything from the basics of our vibration isolation products to advanced system selection strategies. Highlights included hands-on demos and in-depth discussions on the new Electronic Pneumatic Level Control System (EPN), which few of us were familiar with. We also delved into electronic systems crucial for various applications, focusing on quality assurance in production and maintenance.
Uwe Steudel provided a clear explanation of basic concepts such as transfer functions and center of gravity calculations. David Brenk showcased the differences between the previous and the new EPN with practical demonstrations, emphasizing its improvements. Another significant aspect was our training in measurement technology, particularly in vibration measurements, crucial for quality assurance and fault analysis. Ulrich Warbinek guided us through the special electronic control systems EPPC, AIS, and e-Stable, discussing the challenges and solutions associated with these technologies.
Cultural Exchange and Networking
The training also served as a cultural exchange, enriching our understanding of each other’s markets and business practices. We shared stories and challenges, highlighting an amusing incident during our train upgrade to first-class on the way to Frankfurt—a reminder of the importance of attention to detail.
