MTS 2024 at Chicago’s McCormick Place was an unforgettable experience for Bilz USA! As the premier event for the manufacturing industry, IMTS provides an incredible platform for showcasing innovations, connecting with industry leaders, and learning about the latest trends in technology.
Marc Brower, owner and chief engineer at Bilz USA, shared his thoughts on the show:
“This might be my eighth IMTS, and every time, the energy and innovation on display never fail to impress. The foot traffic, the variety of people, and the new technologies we get to see keep us excited to return every year.”
Bilz USA showcased its cutting-edge vibration isolation solutions that help equipment stay stable and precise, even in environments with floor vibrations. These products are critical for many industries, particularly for precision measuring equipment, which requires the highest levels of stability.
One of the highlights of the show for us was a demonstration of the Zygo NX2, which uses Bilz Air Springs to isolate its precision optical profiler from floor vibrations. Michael Schmidt, Senior Product Development Manager at Zygo, gave us an inside look at why they choose Bilz technology:
“Bilz isolators allow us to separate our metrology systems from the floor and environment, providing the best vertical precision for our customers. This ensures reliable performance, especially in production and cleanroom environments.”
This collaboration is a testament to how Bilz Air Springs play a crucial role in ensuring precision and reliability across industries.
In addition to showcasing our own products, IMTS 2024 was a great opportunity to learn from other experts in the field. We spoke with Rob Marshick, National Sales Manager at Enidine, who discussed their unique approach to vibration isolation with wire rope technology. Rob explained,
“We use wire rope isolators to handle different vibration ranges based on customer needs. The biggest challenge is diagnosing where the vibrations are coming from, and we work with customers to solve those challenges with our technology.”
It was fascinating to learn more about Enidine’s approach and to exchange ideas on improving vibration isolation for machinery.
We were also thrilled to be joined by Raphael Bilz, a member of the Bilz ownership family in Germany, attending his first IMTS. Raphael was excited to explore the show and make new connections. He shared,
“It’s my first time in Chicago, and I love the energy here! IMTS is massive, and I’ve enjoyed walking around, meeting people, and discovering companies we’ve never come across before.”
Raphael’s fresh perspective and excitement mirrored the enthusiasm we all felt at the show.
